The 1914 World Series pitted the Boston "Miracle" Braves against the Philadelphia Athletics and given the "Miracle" nickname guess which team won? Presented here is an ornate Shibe Park ticket stub admitting the bearer to the second game October 10 at Shibe Park in Pittsburgh. The game was a pitcher's duel scoreless into the ninth inning when Amos Strunk lost a fly ball from Charlie Deal in the sun. Deal stole third and scored on a two-out single that would be the game winner Hall of Famer Eddie Plank taking the hard luck loss. The stub is in FAIR condition paper loss and remnants from clear tape on the reverse. A tough ticket nonetheless attractive despite the flaws.
