Key example of an extraordinarily scarce issue originating from the PCL the E100 set was issued in 1911 by the Bishop & Co candy company of Los Angeles and features 30 players from the Pacific Coast League highlighted by Buck Weaver. The cards feature backgrounds of blue yellow purple red or green and have two subsets - one with the checklist printed on the reverse and one without. They are extraordinarily scarce and desirable particularly the card of Weaver. This example comes from the collection of legendary hobbyist Frank Nagy whose outstanding collection was sold at auction some years ago. This specimen has been graded EX 5 by SGC and is in outstanding shape well-centered with wide white borders that exhibit a tiny bit of soiling around the edges. The checklist back is largely clean and entirely legible. A very important and very desirable card of a future Black Sox participant easily the key card in this very rare and desirable issue.
