Absolutely tremendous press ticket to the 1919 World Series admitting the bearer to Redland Field for the most infamous Series in the game's history. While individual ticket stubs to the World Series are frequently found at auction as are individual stubs from similar press passes intact passes such as this are seldom made available. A beautiful piece the original ticket entitled the bearer (whose name appears to be "S. Kerkent" to all four potential games at Redland Field (games 1 2 6 and 7 of what would be an 8-game set). Kerkent appears to have attended Game 1 but then left the remaining stubs for a future collector to enjoy. The pass appears to be in tremendous condition but does exhibit considerable wear and fragility very loose at the perforations (and separating between games 3 and 4). The PSA holder most definitely provides considerable protection for the piece and renders the bulk of the wear difficult to see - the presentation is truly remarkable. Of all the 1919 World Series tickets graded by PSA they have assessed just one other example of a Redland Field press pass graded Authentic making this the highest-graded example known. A truly rare and remarkable document of the widely-collected 1919 World Series entitling the bearer admittance to all the games at Redland Field including the opening date when Eddie Cicotte drilled the leadoff hitter to signal that "the fix is in."
