Eddie Murphy was a reserve outfielder on the 1919 White Sox nearing the end of an 11-year career. "Honest Eddie" earned his nickname by not being part of the "fix " and replaced Buck Weaver at third base when Weaver was suspended. Murphy passed away in 1969. His signature applied to this index card in green ink has been authenticated and graded GEM MINT 10 by PSA/DNA an outstanding presentation. Due to his early passing Murphy's signature is particularly difficult and highly sought-after among autograph collectors seeking to complete a set of 1919 White Sox signatures.
