Extremely rare 1/2" diameter pinback button that features an incredible early depiction of an African-American player with his Greenfield ballclub. It is very rare to find integrated team images emanating from this era. Some foxing is evident on the front the pin is dated "1898" on the reverse of the curl where some light patina is also evident. An exceptional early pinback button.
