The 1930 National League pennant race was a tight one with four teams within striking distance up until the end of the season. Such pennant races force teams to prepare for playoffs they may not even make; such is the case here as the Brooklyn Dodgers proceeded with the activity of creating tickets for a World Series appearance that never happened. The Dodgers in fact finished six games behind the Cardinals in fourth place. Presented here then is a full ticket for a World Series game thata never happened: Game 3 at Ebbets Field. The phantom ticket was likely part of a sheet and is torn at the bottom perf the entire length of the ticket making the condition GOOD at best. Still an interesting item and a document of the Dodgers' cautious optimism in 1930.
