Ted Patterson's collection included a great deal of game-used items from Baltimore Orioles players; it was only a matter of time before we presented an item from the greatest of all the Orioles: Cal Ripken Jr. This cap dates to Ripken's final season of 2001 a black New Era size 7 3/8 cap with the standing Oriole logo on the face. The cap shows heavy signs of wear including staining around the bill. Ripken's uniform number 8 appears inside the bill the then-third baseman has signed and dated the cap underneath.
