Exceptional 1970 Cleveland Indians home jersey as worn by star pitcher "Sudden" Sam McDowell. 1970 was McDowell's only 20-win season perhaps the best performance of his 15-year career posting a 20-12 record with a 2.92 ERA in 305 innings pitched. McDowell struck out 304 batters and came in third in the Cy Young voting edged out by Jim Perry and Dave McNally both of whom also had excellent seasons (though it could easily be argued that McDowell's performance was stronger). The Wilson size 46 flannel pinstripe jersey is in outstanding condition with heavy signs of use but with a restored Indians sleeve patch as well as the Indians name and uniform number on the back. MEARS has deducted 2 1/2 points from its base grade of 10 to account for this restoration arriving at a final grade of A7.5. Full LOA from MEARS.
