Spectacular photo depicting the members of the New York Giants walking across the infield in a row. The photo is an interesting departure from the typical team photo as this is more of a candid shot taken from the side. The result is a dynamic "action" shot the players imposing as they march toward the dugout. Though every player in the photo is clear and sharp,  Hall of Famers Christy Mathewson and Rube Marquard are clearly visible in the foreground and Mathewson is the only subject in the photo who is actually facing the camera. The photo measures 8 1/4" x 6" and is affixed to a cardboard mount that has been trimmed down to a size only slightly larger than the photo itself. Written in white along the bottom edge of the photo itself is "1912 New York Giants World Series." The reverse contains a few editorial notes a photo credit to Thompson and a newspaper clipping dated October 7 which refers to the upcoming World Tour that was being organized by manager McGraw. The quality of the image itself is remarkable clear and with excellent contrast some minor areas of foxing not disrupting the image at all. The photo has been authenticated as Type 1 by PSA/DNA and encapsulated in the company's older flexible plastic holder.
