I have one to sell!
The first known card of Hall of Fame shortstop Dave Bancroft who was elected to the Hall by the Veterans Committee in 1971. Owner of a .279 lifetime batting average over a 16-year career Bancroft was considered one of the better shortstops of his era. The Superior (Wisconsin) Red Sox were a Class D team in the Minnesota-Wisconsin League and Bancroft became the league's best-known export. The only player from his team to make a major league roster Bancroft hit .267 in 1910. Graded VG 3 by SGC the postcard is postally unused with strong corners and edges for the grade but some surface wear and discoloration that results in the lower technical assessment. Still the image of Bancroft is strong and the card itself is an excellent "pre-rookie" card of one of the game's great shortstops.
