Consisting of ten unnumbered black and white photographic cards surrounded by a green "picture frame" border the 1958 set distributed by Bell Brand Potato Chips welcomed the Dodgers to their new home in Los Angeles after departing from Brooklyn. Very rare and rabidly chased by Dodger fans this set represents one of the first regional sets to celebrate the Dodgers" arrival on the West Coast. Bell Brand cards which were packaged inside cellophane wrappers one to a bag of chips were (as you might imagine) especially susceptible to grease stains and creases which makes high grade cards difficult to come by. A number of tough short prints - of which this Reese is one - make obtaining these cards very difficult.This is an extraordinary card of the Hall of Fame shortstop and team leader. Suffering from very little in the way of wear a slight corner touch at the top right is the card"s very minor flaw.
