Taken at the 1924 World Series on October 4 an exceptional array of star power lines up for a photo. Left to right the photo pictures Fred Lieb Nick Altrock Ty Cobb (HOF) Babe Ruth (HOF) John McGraw (HOF) Walter Johnson (HOF) George Sisler (HOF) and Christy Walsh posed in front of the New York Giants dugout. The photo is exceptionally clear but in this case exhibits extreme wear in the form of wrinkles creases and a large tear at the top right edge approximately 2 1/2" in length. An additional lengthy tear is evident along the left edge and a smaller tear can be seen at the very top edge in the center. Some age-related discoloration is evident along the bottom edge. The slug is missing on the reverse though the subjects in the photo are handwritten on the reverse in pencil. All three tears have been repaired on the reverse using clear tape. An exceptional photo regardless featuring three of the players that would make up the introductory class of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Guaranteed Type 1 with PSA/DNA.
