Rare and desirable ticket stub from the 1918 World Series specifically Game 3 at Comiskey Park. In that game the Red Sox defeated the Cubs by a 2-1 margin both runs occurring in the 4th inning on hits by Wally Schang and Everett Scott. The Cubs responded with one run in the 5th but couldn't push another across. An outstanding pitcher's duel between Carl Mays of Boston and Hippo Vaughn of Chicago. Boston would win the World Series in six games with four of the six games decided by one run (Chicago won the other two games 3-1 and 3-0). The Comiskey Park stub has been graded VG-EX 4 by PSA and along with two other examples (both from Game 1) and a third from Game 6 are the highest-graded 1918 World Series stubs assessed by PSA. The Black Sox Scandal just a year away an exceptionally difficult to find World Series ticket stub from the deadball era.
