Extraordinarily difficult "card " originalting from a children's notebook cover and part of a 26-subject "set." The cards were trimmed from the cover and it was only a recent discovery of an intact notebook cover that the hobby learned what the cards actually were. Demand did not diminsh after the discovery as the cards remain difficult and very desirable in any grade. Despite the FAIR 1.5 grade assessed here by SGC this card of Hall of Famer Eddie Collins is the finest we have handled from the issue in terms of overall eye appeal. Well-centered and carefully cut the card exhibits a clean surface mild toning and mild surface staining overall wear and discoloration that lends the card its grade. Still an outstanding example from a desirable issue.
