Attractive complete set of H804-2 "vertical" Brownies cards from approximately 1888. The cards present well but grade FAIR several of which also exhibit some clear border trimming likely period trimming to accommodate scrapbook layouts. Each of the cards boasts advertising from a different business the "Out on Second" card exhibiting no printing at all. Five cards total. NOTE: An eagle-eyed collector has pointed out that the "Out on Second!" card in this group is not actually one of the H804-2 cards despite the fact that the illustration is virtually identical to that of the actual card (the characters are wearing different hats in the two cards and the coloration is slightly different. While the card is virtually identical the set is technically incomplete and thus we will offer existing bidders a 24-hour window to cancel their bids if they choose by contacting us at [email protected] prior to 9PM Eastern time on Thursday April 11.
