Gorgeous framed collection of colorful and attractive ticket stubs from World Series games between 1930 and 1960. Our consignor selected these tickets solely based on their aesthetic appeal and had them carefully professionally matted and framed to a finished size of 34" x 19". The display value of these tickets is tremendous each one a work of art on its own a simply fantastic display dedicated to the very greatest of all baseball endeavors: the World Series. A total of 20 ticket stubs are present here representing 20 different World Series. The collection is as follwos: 1) 1956 World Series: Game 3 Yankee Stadium Yankees 5-3 over Brooklyn. VG appearance with slightly rounded corners near the perf. 2) 1942 World Series: Game 2 Sportsman's Park St. Louis 4-3 over Yankees. VG/EX appearance with slightly soft edges and corners a gorgeous ticket. 3) 1945 World Series: Game 4 Wrigley Field. Detroit wins 4-1 over Chicago scoring four runs in the 4th. EX to EX/MT condition with some excess paper at the perf that would reduce its technical grade. 4) 1949 World Series: Ebbets Field Game 5. Deciding game Yankees beat Dodgers 10-6 winning the World Series. Home runs by Joe DiMaggio and Gil Hodges. GOOD condition with sharper appearance slight wrinkling at the lower-left corner. 5) 1940 World Series: Game 5 Briggs Stadium. Hank Greenberg homers as the Tigers shut out the Reds 8-0 behind Bobo Newsom. FAIR condition with pronounced creasing. Still a colorful work of art. 6) 1934 World Series: Game 6 Navin Field. St. Louis beats Detroit 4-3 behind the pitching of Paul Dean bringing one of the most exciting baseball seasons in history within one game of its close. VG/EX appearance slightly softer corners. 7) 1960 World Series: Game 2 Forbes Field. Yankees crush Pittsbiurgh 16-3. Mickey Mantle hits two home runs. VG condition with soft edges and excess paper. 8) 1946 World Series: Game 6 Sportsman's Park. St. Louis beats Boston 4-1 behind the pitching of Harry Breechen. Ticket is in GOOD condition due to mild staining but is an absolute work of art and brilliant typography. 9) 1950 World Series: Game 2 Shibe Park. 2-1 Yankees win over Philadelphia on a tenth inning Joe DiMaggio home run off Robin Roberts. EX condition beautiful artwork. 10) 1942 World Series: Game 4 Yankee Stadium. Cardinals defeat Yankees 9-6 en route to winning the series. VG condition well-worn corners. 11) 1948 World Series: Game 3 Cleveland Municipal Stadium. Cleveland wins 2-0 in a pitchers duel between Gene Bearden
