Attractive real photo postcard depicting Al Burch of Brooklyn in his 1909 uniform standing in rocky soil in front of what appears to be an outfield wall. Postally unused the card does have writing on the back along with both paper remnants and paper loss from scrapbook removal. The number "5" at the bottom of the card coupled with the number "18" on a signed Zack Wheat postcard elsewhere in this auction lead us to believe this is part of a series of Superbas postcards each depicting a member of the team. An attractive postcard and a mystery for another day.
