Important card from this rare and unusual 19th Century trade card issue part of a 15-card set featuring line illustrations of members of the 1887 Boston Beaneaters. The cards are found with either Number 7 or Diamond S Cigar advertising on the reverse the Number 7 brand being more common. The term "common " of course is relative as this is an extremely rare issue! The cards are significantly larger than other tobacco cards of the era measuring 2.25" x 4" and are quite desirable today. Card of Hall of Fame catcher "King" Kelly has been graded POOR 1 by SGC due to a slight edge tear at the bottom right as well as due to uneven toning and discoloration. Still an important card from a difficult 19th Century issue.
