While uncut strips from the W517 issue do find their way into the hobby occasionally this is the first example we have seen that incudes card #20 of Babe Ruth. We have even seen several examples which include the "throwing" pose card #4 in the set - but the portrait image of Ruth has been elusive. This example is culled from the collection of a long-time hobbyist who consigned a number of extremely well-preserved W517 strips to this auction as well as a number of cut cards that we will feature in the Spring sale. This example is outstanding remarkably well-protected and preserved with just some minor corner wear evident otherwise completely intact.
