Attractive 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" photo by Paul Thompson depicting pitcher Ed Cicotte. "Knuckles" was of course a star with the Chicago White Sox winning 28 games in 1917 and 29 in 1919 but was banned for life for his involvement with the Black Sox scandal. This photo dates to 1914-15 (handwritten notes on the reverse date it to 1915) and presents incredibly well save for a corner clip at the lower-right. Handwritten notes and the Thompson stamp appear on the reverse along with the Christies' Baseball Magazine decal at the lower-left.
