Spectacular real photo postcard taken in October of 1922 and depicting Yankees Babe Ruth and Bob Meusel posing among a host of fans at what appears to be a ballfield in Sleepy Eye Minnesota. Ruth went to Sleepy Eye as part of a 19-stop barnstorming tour with Meusel agreeing to come to Sleepy Eye in exchange for $2000 in gate receipts and play against a group of all-stars from southern Minnesota. This postcard features a beautiful image primarily of Ruth wearing his Yankees team sweater (judging by the clothing on the people in the photo it must have been cold that day). The postcard itself is graded FAIR 20 by SGC with chipping and stains from clear tape as well as soiling but the quality of the image remains strong.
