I have one to sell!
In the franchise's 16th season the Boston Red Sox were winners of 91 games. Hardly an offensive powerhouse it was an exceptional pitching staff led by a young Babe Ruth that was responsible for the team's success as Ruth's 23-12 record was augmented by 18-win seasons from both Dutch Leonard and Carl Mays. The team mowed over the Brooklyn Robins in the World Series taking the title in five games. Presented here is a ticket stub from the Series' penultimate game a 6-2 Red Sox win at Ebbets Field. Graded PR 1 by PSA the stub presents far better than the assigned grade some very minor paper loss at the top edge and an irregular tear at the perforation the primary visible condition flaws on the front of the ticket. Significant paper loss and tape remnants mar the reverse clearly a result of having been mounted in a scrapbook. Still only three stubs from this game have been graded by PSA with only one higher. An exceptional rarity and excellent companion to the 1916 Stag Sweaters advertising display also featured in this auction.
