Full ticket to Busch Memorial Stadium in St. Louis for September 23 1983. On that date the Philadelphia Phillies rolled into town and Steve Carlton threw eight innings giving up two runs in a 6-2 Phillies win. That marked Carlton's 15th win of the season (his final win as well as he would finish 15-16) and the 300th win of his career. Carlton would go on to win 329 striking out 4 136 lifetime. The ticket appears to be in excellent condition save for the bottom-right corner which for some reason has faded dramatically. We cannot determine whether the ticket was actually colored this way when it was printed (note that the typewritten "Terrace Reserved" that crosses into the faded area is not similarly faded) but it certainly is a technical condition flaw. Otherwise a historically important ticket from one of the greatest pitchers of his era.
