Interesting team-issued premium featuring a team photo of the Louisville Colonels of the American Association. Graded GOOD 2 and encapsulated in Beckett's monster holder the photo exhibits creasing where it was folded into quarters but otherwise is sharp and clean. The Colonels featured many players who eventually went onto the major leagues most notably Pee Wee Reese pictured in the front row fourth from right. The Colonels were purchased by Tom Yawkey of the Red Sox reportedly so that he had the rights to Reese. However with Joe Cronin a fixture at shortstop with the Red Sox the team sold Reese to the Brooklyn Dodgers during the 1939 season and the rest was history.
