Small (3 1/4" diameter) circular original photograph depicting the portrait of Babe Ruth. The original image is credited via Getty Images and the Hulton Archive as having been dated March 1 1914. This example has been trimmed down to its current size with background masking obscuring anything around Ruth's head and a heavy crease traversing the image from left to right diagonally across the circle. The reverse contains the Sporting News stamp as well as the Sporting News Collection hologram. As the LOA from PSA/DNA indicates the old 1910s "International" stamp can be seen underneath the thin Sporting News paper backing when held to the light helping to identify this as a Type I photo.
