The Boston American series of postcards were issued by the daily newspaper of the same name to celebrate the World Champion Red Sox of that season. The cards which were issued in two sets feature only Red Sox players. This example featuring future Hall of Famer Rabbit Maranville has been graded FAIR 20 by SGC due to postal use and significant wear to the corners and surface. The cards were printed on newsprint-colored stock and appear slightly yellowed thus what appears as heavy toning in the scan is simply the color of the card.
