I have one to sell!
Difficult 1950s ink blotter that appears to have been part of a series named for famed sportswriter Grandland Rice and created by the Brown & Bigelow company a noted printer and lithographer that even today manufactures printed materials for corporations and industry. Featuring a quote from Rice along with a photo of Lou Gehrig on the date of his "Luckiest Man" speech the piece is in VG condition with some minor staining and wear notably at the corners. The reverse is clean. The "Roll Call of Champions" series featured sports figures each of the blotter featuring a blank area (on this example the right half of the piece) where a business could have advertising information printed. We have seen examples featuring the likes of Bill Tilden Man-O-War Jack Dempsey Knute Rockne and more. An interesting collectible part of an entire series of sporting greats.
