Issue in 1954 the F156 Red Heart Dog Food set offers an excellent alternative to the larger Bowman and Topps issued produced the same year. Packed with Hall of Fame members and featuring attractive portraits this set consists of three separate series and each series could have been obtained by mailing two dog food labels and ten cents to the Red Heart Dog Food company. Graded “mint – miscut” by PSA this gorgeous card shows Hall of Fame pitcher Warren Spahn in front of a great emerald-green background. With a flawless front and razor corners this card’s only hold-back from a truly “mint” grade is its miscut reverse. Overall this is a fantastic and gorgeous sample of a Hall of Famer from the set.
