Extremely rare type set of which just four different cards are currently known but which may ultimately have a larger checklist. Given away by a Philadelphia-area theater the cards advertise various productions during 1929 with members of the Philadelphia Athletics pictured on the card front. As of this writing just nine examples of the four cards have been graded by SGC and PSA combined only one of which (a Jimmy Foxx we believe to have been graded by both PSA and SGC at the VG/EX level) have graded higher than FAIR 20. This Al Simmons boasts strong eye appeal for the grade some mild discoloration and staining along the borders being the primary flaw along with some minor surface abrasions and visible wear on the reverse. An extremely difficult card type featuring a Hall of Famer from one of the game's most popular teams.
