Attractive season pass providing Mr. M. McHale access to the Polo Grounds to see the Yankees during the 1913 or 1914 season. The American League "Highlanders" ballclub vacated their Hilltop Park home field in favor of the Polo Grounds in 1913; the name of Frank J Farrell as club president dates the pass prior to 1915. The bearer of the pass would have seen manager Frank Chance pilot the mediocre American League club that featured few highlights however the Ruppert/Hutson tandem would in a few short years bring the newly-monikered Yankees to eventual greatness. The pass itself is well-worn with significant age-related soiling and creasing. Still a rare and important document of the Yankees' early years in the Polo Grounds where they would remain until the 1923 opening of Yankee Stadium - and the team's first World Series.
