Tough ticket from Hall of Famer Joe DiMaggio"s post-retirement baseball tour of Japan in 1951 following the Yankees" World Series victory. DiMaggio would lead 17 players on the first American tour of Japan since 1934. This ticket is well-worn with chipping in the top left corner and a shred missing from the top right but still displays nicely the image of the Yankee Clipper alongside a Japanese player well-preserved and most of the attractive Japanese writing visible.A fantastic piece from the tail end of DiMaggio"s fabled career.
