We have on numerous occasions told the story of our "Texas Find " and how the first box we opened was filled with hundreds of signed 1952 Topps cards. Within seconds we had unearthed the signed Frank Campos "Black Star" variation seen elsewhere in this auction and shortly thereafter began pulling out examples of signed Hall of Famers that have been offered in our last two auctions. As we continued to sort through and organize boxes of duplicates we continued to discover small stacks of signed '52 Topps; the collector clearly was in love with the set. A complete unsigned set plus enough dupes to build a complete low number run plus hundreds more dupes were in the unsigned collection and nearly 650 more were discovered signed. A large lot of the signed cards was offered in our last auction and in this auction we are offering two more large lots in addition to a large number of individual cards. This lot of 37 cards represents some more difficult examples along with a few key scarcities and stars from the issue. Each card has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA assigned the grade of "Authentic" not because the cards have been altered but because we considered the grading of these cards unnecessary - numerical grades for VG and GOOD condition cards are less important than actually authenticating the signatures. Some very strong and important signatures are included in this collection.
