Interesting real photo postcard featuring the members of the University of Chicago baseball team and that of Waseda University of Japan. In 1920 the Waseda University team extended an invitation to the U. of Chicago team to visit the Japanese university so they could study the baseball of America. From that point every five years the teams would meet for "inter-league" games stopping only in 1936 due to an escalation of tensions between Japan and America. While touring Japan the Univeristy of Chicago would also play a team from Keio University. This postcard is in Fair to Good condition some mild surface wear reducing the technical grade but not the eye appeal. Corner and edge wear are evident as well with some minor pencil markings on the reverse.
