Interesting collection of four original Type 1 news service photos depicting four of the eight "Black Sox" post-banishment from organized baseball. Each photo in this collection is guaranteed to return as Type 1 if submitted to PSA. Includes: 1) c.1920's photo of Buck Weaver behind the counter of what appears to be a cigar shop. Superb image quality and photo remains in excellent condition with the top-right corner chipped away. Measures 6.5" x 8.5". 2) 1935 photo of former knuckleballer, Eddie Cicotte in street clothes. 7" x 9" photo displays no signifigant condition flaws and includes full paper caption. Date stamp of March 19, 1935 has been applied to reverse. 3) Large format 8" x 10" photo of Happy Felsch (far right) with two additional "Old Timers." Some creasing present to perimeter of photo with heavier wear to the lower-right corner. Attractive photo bears date stamp of Oct. 6, 1931 on reverse. 4) 1927 photo depicting former infielder, Swede Risberg on his dairy farm in Minnesota. Large newspaper clipping on verso provides context to the image, which presents wonderful with some creative editing applied.
