Harry Grabiner spent four decades as a front-office official with the Chicago White Sox from 1905-45, remaining White Sox GM from 1915-45 while serving three generations of the Comiskey family. Presented are two original news service photos depicting Grabiner, along with a 1941 typed letter, signed by Grabiner, on official Chicago White Sox letterhead. Included: 1) Dec 19, 1941 letter signed by Grabiner on official White Sox letterhead. Letter includes full LOA from James Spence Authentication (8.5" x 11"). 2) Original NEA news service photo depicting Harry Grabiner and his daughter, June. Visible wear to corners and bears date stamp of April 23, 1921, approx. three months before Black Sox trial began in Chicago. (7.5" x 9.75") 3) Grabiner and his wife with daughter, June, now better known as film actress June Travis. At the time of this photo Grabiner was VP of the Chicago White Sox. Excellent condition with full paper caption on verso indicating photo hails from 12/02/1935. Guaranteed Type 1 (7" x 9").
