Los Angeles Dodgers ace, Sandy Koufax delivers at Wrigley Field in this Type 1 photo from the Chicago Sun-Times. Shot along the sidelines, Koufax is pictured warming up during June of 1966 as indicated by the affixed paper caption on verso. Adhesive used to apply paper caption has imparted discoloration to photo surface which is apparent above Koufax's head. Light wear to corners common to news service photos with some graininess to the image, likely due to tight cropping from a much wider shot. News clipping applied to verso states "Koufax is ahead of Dizzy Dean's pace when he won 30 games in 1934." It would be the future Hall of Famer's final season, one in which he compiled the highest win total of his career, going 27-9 overall. Photo measures approx. 7.5" x 9.75" and includes full LOA from PSA/DNA.
