According to full paper caption on reverse, this wonderful portrait of the Dodgers ace was snapped on Aug. 29, 1961 in Chicago, following Koufax's 2-hitter against the hometown Cubs. Crisp central image with general handling wear and some waviness along the left edge common for news service photos of this era. Reverse displays various handwritten editorial notations and a news clipping with multiple date stamps ranging from 1961-66 applied throughout. A modern barcode label rests along the right edge.
