During the 1909 season, the Boston Herald issued 12 supplements with their Sunday papers, each featuring two 7" x 10" photos, one picturing a Red Sox player and one picturing a Braves player. The photos were attached at the center, and are quite fragile, printed on newsprint. They are relatively scarce today, quite condition sensitive, and are often found separated into individual 7" x 10" photos rather than attached. Presented here is a collection of seven of the 12, each still attached. Collection includes the following: JUNE 5, 1909: Doc Gessler/Frank Bowerman, JUNE 20, 1909: Chas Chech/Arthur Mattern, JUNE 27, 1909: Harry Lord/Bill Sweeney, JULY 4, 1909: Bill Dahlen/Heinie Wagner, JULY 25, 1909: Harry Smith/Pat Donahue, AUGUST 2, 1909: Ed Cicotte/Tom Tuckey AUGUST 15, 1909: Amy McConnell/John Coffey. All panels present well but have a number of condition flaws as one would expect century-old newspaper supplements, including corner and edge tears, wrinkles and light creases, areas of paper loss, etc. Seven panels total.
