Grouping of three different M101-1 Sporting News supplements, including one Hall of Famer.  In recent years, collectors are becoming aware of the true scarcity of the M101-1 pieces, as each was issued in just one edition of the Sporting News and then never recirculated.  Printed on thin paper with a bit of a gloss, the 8 3/4" x 11" sheets were subject to a variety of condition woes due to their size and propensity for easy damage.  Collection includes the following: 1) June 17, 1899 Bobby Wallace (HOF RC): Rookie era example of Wallace's supplement, only the Whitehead & Hoag Pins and National Copper Plate supplements predating this.  VG/EX with evidence of edge and corner wear. 2) May 19, 1900 James Williams: POOR condition with paper loss at the corners from thumbtack damage, some staining at the top right, erased writing on the reverse, along with some pronounced creasing.  3) August 4, 1900 Mike Donnie: FAIR condition with creasing at the edges and tape remnants on the reverse.  Three pieces total.
