There are three different Brown cards included in the T206 set. One is a portrait, one shows him pitching in a shirt that says "CUBS", and this slightly more detailed version, which shows him pitching in a shirt that has the Cubs logo on the left chest and says "CHICAGO" down the center buttons. This is the most common of the three versions of the Hall of Famer, but it's a real classic in the landmark set.

This example is clean and colorful, with nice centering and a gorgeous back, complete with some light tobacco stains. The technical grade can be explained by rounded corners and a chipped right edge which has experienced a small bit of paper loss. PSA has only ever graded 43 total examples of this Old Mill back version of the Brown, with only twenty-three receiving a higher grade than the VG 3 offered here.

Mordecai Peter Centennial "Three Finger" Brown was an absolute workhorse, pitching 200 or more innings in each of his first 9 seasons, winning 20+ in 6 straight. He was the ace of the Cubs teams who went to the World Series in 1906, 1907, 1908, and 1910. The only season the team didn't go to the Series in that span may have been the best season in Brown's career. He led the league in Games (50), Wins (27), Complete Games (32), and Innings Pitched (342.2), but also led the league with 7 Saves.
