There are three different Vic Willis cards included in the T206 set. This version, which depicts Willis in his dark St. Louis uniform, holding a bat in front of an orange/yellow sky, is the second most rare. While the colors remain bold and beautiful, heavy creasing, rounded corners, and edge chipping are the reasons for the technical grade. SGC has only ever graded 12 total examples of this El Principe de Gales back version of the Willis.

1902 was by far and away the best season in Willis' 13-year Hall of Fame career which saw him win 249 starts and throw 388 complete games. During that season for the Boston Nationals, Willis led the league in Games, Starts, Complete Games (45), Saves, Innings Pitched (410), Strikeouts, and Batters Faced (1,652). He helped lead the Pittsburgh Pirates to win the 1909 World Series 4 games to 3 over the Detroit Tigers. The "Delaware Peach" was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1995.
