There are two different Wildfire Schulte poses in the T206 set. One
shows him from the back, as he looks on, holding a bat, and this version shows what collectors call the front view of the Cubs slugger resting a bat on his left shoulder. The front view card offered here is the more rare of the two, and this example is a strong one. Some slight diamond cutting and a large top border with rounded corners don't detract from the bold, beautiful colors which still provide stunning eye appeal. A small crease toward the top right and some edge chipping further explain the card's technical grade. The back is clean with printing that has remained strong for 115 years.
Frank M. "Wildfire" Schulte
led the Majors with 10 home runs in 1910, then followed that performance up with the best year of his career. He won the MVP in 1911, leading the Majors in home runs again, this time with a career high 21. He also led the league in RBI (107), Slugging (.534), OPS+ (156), and Total Bases (308). He batted .321 in 21 career World Series games, helping the Cubs win two of the four Series he led them to.
