There are three different Napoleon Lajoie cards included in the T206 set. This version is a gorgeous portrait of the Hall of Fame infielder in front of a yellow gradient background. The centering is just slightly north on the canvas, and very nice for a card of this grade. Soft, rounded corners are present, but the main reason for the card's technical grade is a crease in the lower left corner. A small smudge near the top is the only blemish on this otherwise beautiful Piedmont 150 back.

Napoleon Lajoie was one of baseball's first superstars. He was so good, in fact, that they named a team after him: The Cleveland Naps. Lajoie was only the third player in history to record 3,000 hits, achieving the feat just 3.5 months after Honus Wagner did in 1914. His 657 doubles place him 8th on the all time list. "Poli" dominated the league in 1901, ending the season as the leader in 11 different offensive categories and winning the Triple Crown. His .426 batting average that year was his career high, and is one of the highest single season averages ever.
