This gorgeous example features
Boston 1B Fred Beck reaching down to catch a throw from a teammate. The
dark green trees and beautiful blue sky in the background add to the
different shades of green grass in the foreground, making this card
visually stunning with Beck's long-sleeved white uniform and white cap.
Some versions of this card are missing the red ink which gives further
detail and adds one more splash of color, but this example has the full
color printing.
Centering is south and east on the canvas, with
rounded corners and light soiling near the edges explaining the
technical grade. PSA has
only ever graded 23 total
examples of this Old Mill back version of the Beck,
with
only nine receiving a
higher grade than the VG 3 offered here.
