There are three different Bender cards included in the T206
set. One is a portrait, one shows him pitching against a background that includes trees, and this one, which shows him pitching against a background that does not have trees. This version is just barely the rarest of the three. This example retains the beautiful light blue sky and green grass of the original printing, despite a couple blemishes of color/paper loss not affecting Bender's person. Creases in the two lower corners and some surface wear on the back of the card cannot detract from the eye appeal of this offering.
Centering is just slightly east on the canvas, with
minor diamond cutting and rounded corners further explaining the
technical grade. SGC has
only ever graded 33 total
examples of this Old Mill back version of the Bender,
with
only twelve receiving a
higher grade than the GOOD 2 offered here.
