One of the more beautiful action shots in the set, this example depicts St. Louis pitcher Rube Geyer at the end of his motion in front of a beautiful orange and yellow sky. The printing from this tough Tolstoi back has bled through to show ever so slightly on the yellow portions of the background of the front of the card. The centering is slightly south and west on the canvas, which explains the card's technical grade. This card has few flaws, with sharp corners and edges, and bright colors which have stood the test of time. There is some slight tobacco staining on the back, which only serves to add character to this gorgeous specimen. PSA has only ever graded 21 total examples of this Tolstoi back version of the Geyer, with only TWO receiving a higher grade than the EX 5 offered here.
