Quality pairing of original Charles Conlon news service photos depicting former Yankees pitcher, Herb Thormahlen. Thormahlen spent his first four major league season with Yankees from 1917-20 before heading to Boston for 1921 and resurfacing for a cup of coffee years later with Brooklyn in 1925. Obvious chipping is present to top corners of the 8" x 10" portrait example and a large crease runs from the left to bottom edges. Smaller example measures 7.5" x 9" and remains in fantastic condition overall. Both photos feature Conlon's handwritten ID's of Thormahlen towards the top, with Conlon's signature appearing on the larger photo and his personal credit stamping at center of the smaller print.
