Hall of Famer Eppa Rixey tosses at the Polo Grounds in this 6.5" x 8.5" original news service photo from the lens of Charles Martin Conlon. Conlon has captured the southpaw, Rixey sometime during his 13 seasons with the Cincinnati Reds where he would finish his career in 1933. Prior to his time with Cincinnati, Rixey featured for the Philadelphia Phillies from 1912-20 and his combined resume includes four 20-win seasons with two 19-win seasons to boot. Photo remains in excellent condition and includes both Conlon's personal credit stamping and handwritten notations on verso.
