Outstanding grouping of cards from two popular 1934-36 issues, part of an original owner collection consigned by the family of the youngster who removed these cards from packs during the period of issue. Though the cards have been handled and certainly show associated wear, they are interesting because they have retained much of their original color and, especially in the case of the Diamond Stars, are a pleasure to behold despite the condition. Collection averages GOOD condition with some lesser and a few better, though the Batter Up cards are largely lesser due to having their die-cut perforations detached, and in some cases, backgrounds torn away. Collection includes the following: 1) 1934-36 Batter-Up (8 cards): #2 Ferrell (HOF - torn with part of background missing), 26 Mungo, 27 Ott (HOF - FAIR), #32 Cronin (HOF - FAIR), #48 Hudlin, #52 Schumacher (F), #66 Marberry (F), plus Mickey Cochrane, completely cut away from its background, something less than POOR condition. 2) 1934-36 Diamond Stars (13 cards): #25 Berger, #29 Rolfe, #30 Manush (HOF - VG), #32 Rice (HOF - VG), #33 Rowe, #38 Chapman, #41 Hendrick, #42 Dykes, #44 Hornsby (VG), #45 White, #47 Bolton, #50 Ott (HOF - G), #51 Whitehead. A strong collection of gum era cards from the family of their original owner, fresh to the hobby. 21 cards total.
