Slaughter who in this picture has just fouled off a pack of hot dogs was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame by the Veterans" Committee in 1985. Owner of a .300 lifetime batting average Slaughter drove in 1 304 runs in his 19-year career the majority of which was spent with the Cardinals. The card boasting strong color and light wear has been graded EX-MT 6 by PSA one of few cards from this issue to obtain such an elevated grade.
